Apple.BlossomMari kita ketahui sedikit info tentang BUNGA SAKURA atau Cherry Blossom dalam English ialah nama yang merujuk kepada pokok-pokok hiasan ceri dalam bahasa Jepun, Prunus serrulata, serta kelopak-kelopak mereka. Buah ceri a.k.a sakuranbo muncul daripada sebuah spesies pokok yang berbeza. Selain itu, Sakura juga merupakan nama yang seringkali digunakan masyarakat Jepun.
Cherry.Blossom
Sakura ialah tumbuhan asli di Banjaran Himalaya, Bengal Utara (kini Bangladesh) dan di Asia timur seperti China, Jepun dan Korea Selatan. Jepun mempunyai jenis sakura yang berbeza-beza; lebih daripada 305 jenis boleh ditemui di sana. Kebanyakan daripada mereka telah dikacukkan secara tiruan atau dicantumkan oleh orang Jepun hortikultur berabad yang lalu.
PESTA BUNGA DI SEOUL (Yeuoido Spring Flower Festival)
The festival runs from April 1-15 starting on Yunjungno Avenue, right behind the Korean National Assembly. When you have over 1400 cherry blossom trees in full bloom over a 6km stretch, people go crazy and flock here as fast as they can, like it was the first day McDonald's in Korea started breakfast (okay, bad example). Last week we decided to check out the festival in its first weekend at the peak time in the late afternoon--bad decision!
